Licensed Attorney

Oksana Mykhailova is a licensed attorney in the state of New York, specializing in immigration law and practicing across the United States. Originally from Ukraine, she has successfully integrated her international experience and extensive knowledge into the practice of U.S. immigration law.

Oksana began her academic career at Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E.A. Didorenko, where she earned a Candidate of Legal Sciences degree (PhD) in Law. Her dissertation, focused on the legal regulation of migrant labor in Ukraine, was successfully defended at the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This stage of her development laid the foundation for her future research and professional work.

Continuing her education in the United States, Oksana attended Florida State University, where she completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in U.S. law in 2021. This allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of the U.S. legal system and further develop her expertise in immigration law.

Oksana Mykhailova is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the American Bar Association (ABA), and the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).

Her practice includes assisting individuals with extraordinary abilities in obtaining permanent residence, preparing and filing NIW petitions for professionals whose work advances the national interests of the United States, and advising on employment-based immigrant visa categories that provide a pathway to lawful permanent residence.

During her professional career in Ukraine, she was actively involved in research, published articles, and participated in conferences on legal regulation of migration. Her monograph, “Labor Migration in Ukraine: A Socio-Legal Perspective,” has made an important contribution to the study of labor migration issues and their legal regulation.
